Greening Australia’s Exchange Incentive Fund - reminder
The Exchange Incentive Fund is a small funds grant managed in partnership by Greening Australia and Land & Water Australia and funded through the Australian Government’s NHT. The aim of the fund is to help regional practitioners better research their natural resources by increasing access to current knowledge and generating new knowledge on native vegetation. Funds are available to regional groups and networks, and researchers, for events or activities to be carried out before 1 January 2008.

Young Australian Rural Network Website Grants (Applications Now Open)
Two $10,000 grants are on offer to help young people involved in agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries develop their website management skills and strengthen their industry and community networks.

The grants will give two young people an exciting opportunity to play an active role in managing the Young Australian Rural Network (YARN) website for up to 12 months.

Professional advice & planning Professional advice & planning grants for farmers

Grants of up to $5500 for professional advice and planning are available to farm
businesses in areas that have been EC declared for more than three years.  Grants may be used to help you manage the impact of drought on your business.

2007 Lachlan CMA Incentive Funding

Land Management ~ Perennial Pastures program

aims to increase soil organic carbon levels and groundcover; and reduce salinity
Incentives include ~ up to 30% of the total cost to a max $65/ha for improved grazing management systems (fencing and water) and 60% of costs of approved course.

Conservation Farming ~will improve soil health and function to help protect natural ecosystems and maintain improve productive agriculture in priority areas 

Incentives include ~
individuals will receive up to 30% to max$10,000 for converted or 2nd hand equipment/Groups will receive 50% to max $15,000. Access to training courses in conservation management

ACTION GRANTS
Applications are now being sought form regional industry organisations or groups of organizations to undertake projects that help industries to improve their structural and organizational capacity.

Projects need to focus on one or more of the following:

• Market development and improvements
• Adapting to change
• Training and continuous improvements
• Strategic organisational management

Eligible applicants include any regional agricultural, fisheries, forestry or related industry organizations that have undertaken an Industry Stocktake or equivalent.
