Holden Leasing LCWLwas the first regional community-based Landcare entity in Australia to benefit from a partnership with Holden Leasing.
LCWL as part of anSupport Projectin the interim changeover period from Catchment Mangement Boards to Catchment Managment Authorities in 2003/04, managed24 staff members who liaised with 304 Landcare groups, representing some 3,000 Landcarers across the two catchments and the Central West Region.
At the handover day in Orange, on 24th March 2003, 14 Holden vehicles were presented to LCWL community support staff,to be drivenon Landcare and community business across the Lachlan and Central West Catchments.
With theSupport Project complete staff positions were reverted to the CMA's and LCWL's partnership with Holden Leasing came to an end.The opportunity for LCWL to partner Holden Leasing was very successful and LCWL would beexcited to work onother innovative projects in the future with Holden Leasing.
